Reduce Speed Limit to 25mph on N. Ellis St. in Salisbury, NC

We, the undersigned N. Ellis St. property owners, do hereby petition to lower the speed limit from 35mph to 25mph on North Ellis Street between W. Cemetery Street to Lake Drive. We understand that speed limit signs may be posted in our yards, within the street right-of-way.

Why is this important?

City Council is urged to reduce N. Ellis Street's speed limit from 35mph to 25mph from W. Cemetery Street to Lake Drive. Lowering the speed limit would make it the same as that on the remainder of the street stretching south from Shober Bridge to Salisbury High School. Neighbors are concerned for the safety of children who regularly play in and around the street and also desire to reduce speeding in general throughout our neighborhood.
