Reducing Speed Limit on GA Hwy 257 Cordele Ga 31015

SR 257 from MP 3.60 at Sharon Church Rd. to MP 4.98 the Crisp/Dooly County line. To reduce the speed limit from 55 mph to 45 mph for the safety of residents living on Hwy 257 and off Hwy 257.

Why is this important?

For the safety of the neighborhood; we have had deaths, numerous accidents, and a way to many close calls in the little stretch of highway. There are more than 67 residents who use State Route 257 (Hwy 257) as a direct exit and entrance to their residences. There are at least another 29 residents who enter State Route 257 (Hwy 257) from roads that connect to the highway, such as Sharon Church Rd, Justice Rd, Nappa Road, David's Ln, County Line Rd (on both sides off of the Hwy), and Lambstown Rd. Also, we have a well-active Church located on 257, Sharon Baptist Church.
