Reinstate Damaso Alcaire
Reinstate our activities coordinator and community leader. He has done nothing but create positive sports events, and community building outings for his fellow co-workers on his own time.
Why is this important?
Damaso Alcaire was fired for uploading a ping pong team building video on YouTube so that he could share it with two of the participates. In order to share it, the site needed a link to a website. The policy dictates that no videos or photos of the companies' secrets, machinery, and or tooling should be taken or uploaded to sites outside of the network. Since, Damaso's video only shows a white wall and ping pong table, he did not violate any company policy. However, the company cited, violation of company policy, for the reasoning behind his firing even though no member of Human Resources or Employee Relations approached Damaso to get his statement; as policy dictates.
Even more, others have been caught taking photos of the actual machines and are still present and happily working, because their supervisor's vouched for them; albeit violating policy. However, the supervisor brutality task force and their helpers operating on Damaso's shift decided to gang up, report him, and push for his firing after Damaso's supervisor asked him to check up on an assignment a member of the supervisor brutality task force was supposed to complete.
Another issue the ego centered supervisor brutality task force had with Damaso was the fact that he was encouraging individuals in the work place to challenge themselves and apply to different positions within the company. The supervisor brutality task force was in opposition to Damaso's positive activity because they would lose good workers . They even went so far as to report Damaso to his own Supervisor, because of his encouraging work; which in turn his supervisor told him to continue doing what he was doing.
Damaso has done nothing but create sports and outing events for the individuals in the company. He's started yoga classes and much more. He was in the process of becoming a supervisor.
