Relieve Damon Stoudamire of his duties as Georgia Tech Men’s Basketball coach.

Dear the powers that be at Georgia Tech,

It is time to move on from Damon Stoudamire. Since being hired as Georgia Tech’s MBB coach in 2023, his teams have done the following.

- Lost to UMass Lowell
- Lost to Cincinnati by 35
- Lost to Nevada
- Lost to Virginia Tech by 24
- Lost to Wake Forest by 29
- Lost to Clemson by 24
- Lost to North Florida by 12
- Lost AGAIN to Cincinnati by 23
- Lost to Duke by 26
- Lost to SMU by 22
- Lost AGAIN to Wake Forest by 26
- Lost to Jacksonville State in the NIT
- Lost to Drake
- Lost to DePaul

The only thing he’s done at Tech is accomplish three fluke upset wins over UNC, Duke, and Louisville, and somehow managed to recruit well. As Tech fans know, good recruiting does not always mean on field results. We saw this with Geoff Collins. And like Collins, Damon Stoudamire simply is an inadequate coach for the Georgia Tech program.

Why is this important?

Basketball is SUPPOSED to matter at Georgia Tech. This is the school where Whack Hyder took down giants, where Bobby Cremins invented “the THRILLERDOME”, where Paul Hewitt took Tech to the national title game. Now, we are sitting on 15 years of mostly mediocre basketball, and if Damon stays all signs point to it getting worse.
