To: U.S. Department of Justice and Sheriff Driscoll
Remove Sheriff Driscoll from Office
Sheriff Driscoll has failed to fulfill his obligations as Sheriff of Coconino County. We call upon the U.S. Department of Justice to intervene and hold Sheriff Driscoll accountable for his failure to serve and protect Flagstaff families.
Why is this important?
Time and time again, Sheriff Driscoll has shown that he will choose to enforce racist laws that tear apart our communities.
When met with community demands that he stop deporting our communities, adopt an official policy of non-cooperation with ICE, and release all records of the County’s cooperation with ICE, Sheriff Driscoll’s only response was to deny these possibilities and shrug off his responsibility to Flagstaff families. He stated, “I took an oath of office to enforce the law, not to modify it”.
