We the undersigned call on the Congress and the President of the United States to act to remove the cap on wages subject to the Social Security tax. Social Security is based on a contract between our government and the people -- we all pay in during our working lives and receive that back in retirement. That contract is in jeopardy of being undermined because we all do not pay our fair share. That must change!
Why is this important?
The people at the bottom of the wage scale -- like myself -- in the U.S. pay Social Security tax on their entire income. Why should the wealthy and the super wealthy not do the same??? It is time the cap was removed! The debate about possible cuts in Social Security would be over!
