Repeal HB1261 General Assistance Budget Cut Law

Repeal HB1261 enacted into law August 1, 2012. It is not an appropriate law for citizens in need in our society and a new plan should be discussed with community based organizations.

Why is this important?

This law affects people who have a temporary need of assistance with normal things such as carfare to get to interviews and doctor's appointments; get help paying rent; buy food for substance. Website:savegeneralassistancepa.org
