The residents of Hawai’i need better protection from COVID19 being seeded into our community from travel.
We ask that all travelers be required to take a pre-arrival and post arrival test to bypass a 10 day quarantine. We ask this be required for every county when cases are above 2 cases per 100k or when the state positivity rate is above 1%.
We ask that you #protectHawaii from COVID19 by implementing this travel based mitigation measure immediately.
Why is this important?
The residents of Hawai’i have in large part been doing our part to slow the spread of COVID19. The big thing we do not have much control over is travel and it has a significant impact on cases in our community. We know there are a large number of breakthrough cases and there are large numbers of clusters being associated with travel worldwide. Knowing this we need immediate action by our government to protect our community better.
