Some entire streets should be devoted to bicycles and foot traffic, by closing streets to vehicles a safe and easy route for commuting and travel across local areas would be provided.

Why is this important?

Bicycles are being force to use busy streets that gas powered vehicles use, making transit difficult because of traffic congestion. Devoting a entire street to foot and bicycle traffic would secure a means for commuters to cross busy parts of the city.
