Michigan is a donor state when it comes to Federal Amtrak funding because we receive no operational funding. We encourage our representatives in the US House and Senate to lobby for the return of more funding to Michigan by supporting needed infrastructure improvements.

Why is this important?

Michigan Amtrak trains are frequently sold out especially on weekends. Infrastructure improvements would allow increasing the service frequency to handle the unmet demand. It would also improve on time performance by removing bottlenecks that currently exist due to limited passing sidings.
