Salons/ One Client at a Time (soft start) April 27th 2020

Allow a licensed beauty professional to perform a beauty service/ privately with one client in the salon / per stylist at a time Starting as of Monday, April 27, 2020. All necessary precautions and sanitation protocols approved by the state of OR and the local Board of Health will be followed. Our industry needs to be recognized & deemed as an essential business so we can better serve our community.
Servicing one client at a time (while wearing a mask & gloves) poses little to no risk of spreading the virus, as compared to 20 or more people in a grocery store or 10 plus people at restaurants picking up food.

Why is this important?

The survival of the independent beauty professionals is at risk. We are facing a grave financial hardship.

Reasons for signing

  • I own my own business and this shutdown has been devastating..we are capable of sanitation and distancing..doing one client at a time..please let us return to work!
  • I am a retired hairdresser and understand the reasons hairdressers need to get back to work. Besides needing money, the clients are trying to color and cut their own hair, so it will take longer to fix them. Also, our clientele is spread out over a month or so, once the gates open every single client will be desperate!
  • Support of stylist
