Save 6 Day Postal Delivery Service

We, The Men and Women Rural and City Carriers of the USPS would like to put a stop to the members in Congress and the PMG that are jeopardizing our livelihoods by trying to cut Saturday Mail Delivery. Businesses and Every U.S. Citizen Depends on us to get their Medicine, Letters & Magazine to them Daily. The USPS’ unique model offers affordable universal service to every address, 6 days a week, as mandated by the Constitution. Cutting 17% of your business to save roughly 5% on operating expenses doesn't add up. We Need to Save Jobs, Not Cut Them & Stop the $5.5 Billion a year Pre Fund Mandate .

Why is this important?

I work for the USPS and cutting Delivery Days will Cost 1000's of Jobs and Will be More Work for less pay for those who don't lose their jobs. The excuse that the internet has ruined the USPS is partially true with mail volume but Parcels, Magazines , Meds, Etc have all increased. The USPS wouldn't be in the Red if it wasn't for Congress in 2006 Passed a Mandate to Pre Fund FUTURE Employees Retiree Benefits for the next 75 yrs at $5.5 Billion a yr for 10 years.
