This project at 2918 Mission St. @ 25th uses the state density bonus program that allows developers two extra floors without increasing the affordable units maximizing their profits. In one of the most vulnerable and weakened neighborhoods, this development will continue the pressures of displacement and advanced gentrification, pushing us to exclusion. This project also has negative health impacts on the children of the SFUSD public school next door.

Why is this important?
The Mission District is over the amount of market-rate housing that was calculated in the 2008 Eastern Neighborhoods Plan. We are in dire need of affordable housing. This project provides 75 Luxury units, only 8 affordable and is 8 stories high. This project also has negative health impacts on the SFUSD public school children next door. Please uphold our appeal and protect our children! This will be heard at the Full Board of Supervisors, February 13, 2018.
