Don't let big business take another freedom away. On May 15 the FCC is releasing a proposal that, if adopted, would allow Internet providers to create a pay-to-play fast lane for some websites, and relegate everyone else to the slow lane. Stop proposed legislation to allow Verizon, Comcast and other big businesses from controlling the internet.
Why is this important?
As an educator I started with the internet back in the early 1990's. It was slow and painful to use. Now it is so wonderful to have any and all sorts of information at my finger tips to use for teaching and personal use. If I want to present the pro's and con's of an issue, I can find that information for my students much easier than when the then internet was dial-up slow.
