Save Pig
I'd like the City council and Animal control to write or rewrite the city ordinance to allow me to keep Pig. He is my emotional support animal. He has been in my home for the past almost 5 years, since he was 6 weeks old. Animal control agreed to have pigs in the city but didn't write an ordnance that satisfied the Billings city council. They both agreed to work together to try and find a way to help myself and other keep our pigs so we wouldn't have to sell our homes. They didn't. Recently animal control saw Pig in my back yard while he was going to the bathroom and wrote us a citation. Giving us 20 days to re-home him.
Pig is quiet, he isn't destructive, he isn't smelly, he is only outside to go to the bathroom. They gave us 20 days to "re-home" him. Of that there is only14 days left. Pig lives inside 98% of the time. So he can't just move to a farm. His body will not regulate to the summer or winter temperatures or weather. I love him and I need him. He needs me. Please help me. I have reached out to both of the City council members for my zone and have not gotten much of a response back. I can't lose my Pig.

Why is this important?
Pig is my emotional support animal. I have a doctor's note. I just can't imagine having to give him up. I don't want to. This is a very stressful situation and definitely taking a toll on me and my family emotionally. Please help keep our family member in our home. There are other pigs in the city that this would help also. I tried to go about this the right way for years. Only to be shut down by technicalities that weren't in my control. Please help me.
