Save Services to Seniors in Albany County, NY

Chairman Morse and the Albany County Legislature: It is not okay to cut services to seniors. Funding must keep pace with our growing need.

Why is this important?

This year the Albany County Department for Aging is concerned with not only maintaining funding for programs and services but for the need for more funding to support services for seniors. As the population of seniors in the county continues to increase, so must the home and community based services and the funding for those services.

Because the Albany County Department for Aging services are not mandated, seniors and other concerned citizens in the county should be worried that the county legislature may decide to focus only on mandated services in order to balance the budget.
