Please find a negotiated settlement to the fiscal cliff and debt ceiling issues without touching Social Security benefits.
Why is this important?
We all have family members who would be hurt by any reduction in Social Security benefits. I also speak for my own situation. It is unthinkable to have worked so hard for President Obama to be re-elected and then find out that these benefits have been put on the table. They should not have anything to do with our fiscal cliff and debt ceiling issues. We implore you to remove these from any compromises. You owe it to the American people to keep your word.
