The friends and neighbors of the Nationally registered historic Frank's Ford Bridge demand that Olmsted County and the United States Army Corps of Engineers stop their project to relocate the Bridge from its historic location.
We agree with the statement from the State Historic Preservation Office, dated December 31st, 2025 that "...the removal of the bridge is an adverse effect as defined by 36 CFR 800.5. The removal of a National Register-listed bridge from its historic location will diminish all seven aspects of the bridge's integrity (location, design, setting, materials, workmanship, feeling, and association). Moreover, removal of a historic property from its historic location is a specific example of an adverse effect outlined in 36 CFR 800.5 (a)(2)(iii)."
