Save the Post Office
For more than twenty years, the federal government has been undermining the core public service of affordable postal delivery for all Americans. The postal service is a building block of a democratic society and yet, since Reagen's time, we've been sold the truly ridiculous notion that a post office ought to make a profit. Postal workers are civil servants, not entrepreneurs! Ask Congress to rethink its dismantling of a priceless component of our free and open society.
Why is this important?
We need to stop the dismantling of the postal service under the guise of "economic reforms." The post office is not a money'making enterprize. It is a public service and ought to be jbranded as such, funded as such, and guaranteed in perpetuity as such.
