Say "no" to cost of living cuts for Social Security.
Say "no" to cost of living cuts to Social Security for current and future senior citizens. Senior citizens are those 62 years of age and older.
Why is this important?
President Obama proposes a change to the way cost of living increases are calculated for current and future senior citizens. Senior citizens are those 62 years of age and older. As a certified elder law attorney, I have advised over 7,000 senior citizens who rely on Social Security for 40% of their income.
The proposed "chained CPI" would substantially decrease cost of living increases creating a hardship for these middle class seniors who faithfully paid into the system throughout their working lifetimes.
This punitive idea will create a hardship for these senior Americans and should be rejected.
