Say NO to the NRA and YES to gun violence prevention
Join House Democratic Leader Eileen Filler-Corn in her fight for common sense gun violence prevention laws in the Virginia General Assembly's Special Session next week. Gun violence is an epidemic in our communities, but Republican politicians and the gun lobby have blocked common-sense solutions for years. In the time between the Virginia Tech and Virginia Beach shootings, 11,000 Virginians were killed by guns, all the while gun laws were loosened by Republicans and no meaningful gun violence prevention was enacted.
Why is this important?
After the tragedy in Virginia Beach, the Governor called a special session of the Virginia General Assembly, giving us an opportunity to finally act. For far too long, the gun lobby has blocked opportunities to make Virginia safer. On July 9th, we have the opportunity to finally pass common-sense gun safety laws. Join House Democratic Leader Eileen Filler-Corn and make your voice heard on this important issue.
