Say no to the resort project
Devils Lake residents, I’m making this to help make everyone aware of what the plans are for the land next to us.
Chang Yang has bought the land and has plans to put a lot on the property.
He wants a bait shop, fish cleaning, boat storage, hotel, cabins, tent and rv spots. All this with one small access to it. Butted up against many residential properties. Not just ours, but our neighbors and all the folks that live in Pitcher Park. What will this do to property taxes? What will this mean for our community? Something like this- right on the edge of town and again so close to so many residents- doesn’t seem like the best idea. (Mind you all with one access point from the Hwy?)
Furthermore, a resort like this and not on the shores? Not being owned by a local bringing money back into the community? As this WILL effect our already existing established and locally owned businesses- such as other bait shops, resorts, camp grounds, among others.

Why is this important?
As a community we need to stand together on this in order to be heard. Please take the time to help out and have a voice. Our community is important to us all. We really need to take a good look at this project and the many things that really don’t make sense. One of the main ones being this should not be around our residential areas.
