Congress (both houses) has raised their own pay, given themselves a wonderful retirement package, and a great health program. This needs to change and the following are the changes: 1. Accept minimum wages only for hours worked 2. Live in dorm situation 3. Eat on your own money or eat at the dorm 4. Travel on your own money 5. Have Social Security as your retirement 6. Have medicare or Blue Cross/Blue Shield for medical Just because you are elected officials, that does not mean your are better than the rest of us and should have better benefits. 2 years in Congress should not bring you thousands of dollars a year in retirement.

We are concerned public school parents, we ask our elected officials to: 1. OPPOSE any further education cuts! Funding reductions mean greater class size, less classroom resources and enrichment subjects, like dance, music and art put at risk. 2. RESTORE CUT FUNDS to public schools and Preserve the public's trust in public education! 3. INVEST in our kidsTODAY--they are the future, they deserve better! 4. Work toward CREATIVE SOLUTIONS that will support our public schools, our teachers and our kids! 5. 1. No Tenure / No Pension - A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they're out of office. 2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security. - All present and future funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. 3. Congress can purchases their own retirement plan. 4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. - Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%. 5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people. 6. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective 01/01/2013.

We sign to support the crewmembers of the USS Ronald Reagan and other "first responders" now sick from radiation poisoning after rushing to help Japan's earthquake/tsunami victims in March, 2011. Then-Prime Minister Naoto Kan says "the first meltdown occurred 5 hours after the earthquake." But Tokyo Electric kept secret Fukushima's dangerous levels of radiation, which irradiated these heroes during their courageous humanitarian service. We support them and their federal lawsuit and demand that Tepco: 1. Admit responsibility for its negligence at Fukushima; 2. Establish funds sufficient to compensate these sailors and to monitor their health; 3. Acknowledge the right of the US Courts to mediate and oversee these claims.

1. Parking is essential to the university mission. 2. Investors will be able to depreciate buildings they did not pay for--Ohio taxpayers paid for them and OSU must continue to pay for the loans. 3. The garages' value is at least $600 million, and OSU would need to receive $800 million to a billion dollars to break even over 50 years. 4. Parking is one of the best-run units at OSU, and its employees would not be as well-paid with a lessee. 5. Parking pays a $1.7 million "tax" per year and completely subsidizes traffic signals, etc., with another $17 million per year. This is essentially the amount that the endowment provides on $375 million. There is no net benefit to monetizing parking.

Education is very important and should not be taken lightly. The FCAT system is flawed and with new "rigorous" testing with increased expectations it will hurt more students than help them. The newly applied scoring system in April of 2012 shows just that. Per a letter I received on 5/1/12 it says "The combination of a much more rigorous FCAT test,coupled with raising the threshold for receiving a passing score may result in a dip in student scores.For example, students that have consistently scored Level 3 (passing rate) THEIR entire school career could easily score below the passing level with the new standards." This only puts more pressure on young children and is not responsible.

This issue is an important concern. Keeping teens in sports will: 1) Reduce the number of mischievous acts performed by teens 2) Incorporate sportsmanship, team work, leadership, and loyalty skills that will become valuable further in life for these teens 3) Increase social skills among teens 4) Increase self esteem of children 5) Reduce the number of obese teens 6) Help teens manage their time 7) Teens have FUN playing sports As you have read in the reasons given, school sports can only be a good thing that should clearly be included in this years budget and for years to come. Once middle school sports are removed from the budget, they will never be re-instated.

We are broke. We've lost the equity in our homes. We will not be able to collect SS. Our children will not be able to afford to go to college. Our 401k is really another ponzi scheme. We need regular saving options for regular people that pay a rate of return, that will allow us to: buy a home. send our children to college. retire. 5 or 6% APR is a rate that will allow regular people to plan for their own futures. Banks are not returning their profits to the savers. The federal government is the bottom line to this defense for the American houshold. If the federal government is not able to create savings programs for savers, then we will never see the economy improve. We must have freedom from greedy banks.

I support the protection and restoration of the 2.6 million acres of BLM forests in western Oregon. These forests provide clean water, salmon habitat and old-growth forests that make Oregon a great place to live. They also provide millions of dollars to local communities from travel and recreation. Please support a Community Conservation Alternative that would: 1) Shift BLM priorities toward forest and watershed restoration. 2) Achieve economic objectives through restoration activities. 3) Collaborate with communities to develop forest management and recreation opportunities. 4) Preserve the remaining older forests and restore Oregon's iconic salmon runs. 5) Ensure these remain public forests managed under federal environmental safeguards.
