Act to stop Trump admin's scary farm worker proposalI am writing this comment on behalf of our nation's farm workers whose hard work makes it possible for us to have food on our table every day. The Trump DOL's proposed changes to rules governing the H-2A agricultural guestworker program would make it easier to deny jobs to our nation's current farm workers so employers can hire more temporary foreign field laborers and pay them less. It would depress pay for domestic workers and reduce existing protections for both domestic and foreign workers. The federal government indicates more than half of farm workers are U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents; the proposed changes would negatively impact many of these farm workers. Please stop the harmful changes in this rule today.63,574 of 75,000 SignaturesCreated by Martin Sheen and United Farm Workers

MEDAL OF HONOR FOR JOHANNY ROSARIO PICHARDO, SERGEANT, U.S MARINE CORPS“I own no right to this text and is From the Foundation of Wounded Warriors” “After her graduation, in 2014, Lawrence, MA native, Sergeant Johanny Rosario Pichardo enlisted in the Marines and served with the Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade Pichardo was assigned to assist in the Afghanistan evacuation efforts. Immediately upon arriving in Kabul, Sgt. Rosario-Pichardo volunteered to work a security assignment that only women could do in Afghanistan – screen the women and children attempting to flee the country. Pichardo lost her life assisting two Afghan women who were being trampled by the pack of people outside the airport gates, when a suicide bomber detonated his explosive belt. Sgt. Rosario Pichardo, 25, was killed, along with 12 other American service members, and 169 Afghan civilians in the initial blast and the gunfire that followed. Pichardo’s commanding officer, Capt. Pascal DeMeo, remembers Pichardo’s final words before she attempted to help the women on the ground- “They need me, sir.” It is estimated that her actions in addition to the actions of the other servicewomen working screening in the evacuation saved over 124,000 lives in America’s largest airlift operation ever.” -As a prior 3043 within the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS, I understand the significance of “Bullets Don’t Fly Without Supply.” This woman showed true dedication for her Marines and the care for the human race. Sergeant Johanny Rosario Pichardo’s initiative, Professionalism, and TOTAL DEVOTION to duty reflected credit upon herself and where in keeping with the HIGHEST TRADITION of the United States Marine Corps, The United States Naval Service and the United States of America114 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Weston Martin
