It’s heartbreaking -- a 6-year-old Black boy in North Carolina was waiting for the school bus when he bent down and picked a single tulip from a neighbor’s yard. For this “crime” he was arrested and sent to juvenile court, charged with “injury to real property!” 😠 He couldn’t understand the court proceedings, so he was give a coloring book. This obscene criminalization of little kids -- especially kids of color -- happens all over. We must raise the minimum age for prosecution to 14!

On 25 January 2017 the President of the United States has declared that he wants to launch a massive investigation into voter fraud that he believes caused 3 to 5 million votes to be cast for his opponent. He has provided no credible evidence of this claim, which even mainstream media are now widely referred to as a "debunked claim." Even Republican legislators, including House Speaker Ryan and Senator Graham, have said they do not believe the claim and that the President's obsession with this claim is undermining belief in the US democratic system. We therefore ask the Congress of the United States to pass a law that declares that no funds from the US Treasury shall be employed to fund an investigation of voter fraud in the November 2016 election.

We are asking Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to stay the deportation of Kimberly Pineda Chavez, a 10th grade student at Collins Hill High School who was arrested by ICE on her way to school and has now been detained for more than 5 weeks. She may be deported as soon as Monday. Tell ICE to stay Kimberly’s deportation and release her from detention while she pursues her asylum claim! Let her go back to school. Let her return to the safety of her family in Atlanta. Kimberly should not be sent back to danger. Tell President Obama to stop the raids! No family should have to go through what Kimberly’s family is going through.

Section 231 of The Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act, which passed the House 417-5, required sanctions to be imposed on January 29 on all those transacting with Russia's intelligence service to punish Russia for meddling in the 2016 elections and deter future intervention. The Trump administration ignored this law, neither imposing the required sanctions nor making a public finding that Russia was reducing its cyber intrusions, which could justify a waiver under the law. We demand that Congress tell President Trump that it will begin impeachment proceedings against him if he does not levy the sanctions called for in the legislation within thirty days. It is not acceptable to allow Trump to ignore the law and to encourage future Russian intervention in our elections.

As of or before 10/5/14, Fort Lauderdale, FL has made a law to fine people who help feed the homeless outside. This is so inhumane. How is it moral for three people (one man is 90 yrs. old and two are pastors) to get fined and face jail time for feeding the homeless in Fort Lauderdale, FL? The fine is $500.00 a piece, plus 60 days in jail! l think this is a big mistake. We are allowing certain people to make careless and horrible decisions for us. There is nothing wrong with what these three men did. l do not understand in the USA why this is allowed to even become a law. Where is the humanity here? This is a free country, land of opportunity. Compassion is a crime now?
