My wife, Dr. Nancy Rodriguez Cox, and Dr. David Franz, a pediatric neurologist with Cincinnati Children's Hospital, were able to control Keyla's seizures. Both wish to help Keyla. From the time Keyla was almost 6 years old until she was almost 12 years old, my wife served the role of being like Keyla's mother. And it is this, the love a mother has for her child and the child for her mother, which we believe could be so important for Keyla's healing, especially at this time of Keyla's hospitalization in California. Adult Education has been serving California for over 150 years, but in the last five years it's been cut to the bone. The Local Control Funding Formula puts Adult Schools at risk for further school closures because it does not provide designated funding for Adult Education. Adult Education empowers marginalized communities and creates a ripple effect that includes better community health, greater school success for children, stronger families, and reduced recidivism. It provides job training to put Californians back to work. The new Local Control Funding Formula for K-12 Public Education can safeguard Adult Education if it includes Adult Ed as one of the non-flexible categoricals - and then Adult Education can safeguard our state. Your signature supports this effort and tells our elected officials that Adult Education Matters!

For the past several years, the TAPS department at UC Santa Cruz has been deteriorating under the direction of Director Larry Pageler. The Director has made little to no effort to improve the department, only needlessly beefing up middle-management while leaving the department understaffed and overworked. Now, the TAPS department is planning to raise the parking fees by 12% on July 1st when our members are scheduled to receive their modest 3% pay increase. These planned fee hikes are on top of the recent tuition hikes and crippling low wages at UCSC. The result is university employees not being able to afford to come to work. This must end! UCSC cannot continue to be a catalyst for poverty. We call on you Chancellor Blumenthal to stop further penalizing students and workers at UCSC with parking fee increases. Put an end to the parking fee hikes!

What can we do? Already, resistance from local communities along with electronics bottlenecks have forced roughly half of all US data center developments to be canceled or delayed. In DeKalb County, a proposed text amendment regulating data center developments will come before the Board of Commissions for a vote after another public hearing on May 12, 2026 @ 8:30 a.m. at 178 Sams Street, Decatur, GA 30030.  The current moratorium on data center developments expires on June 23.  It's crucial that residents show up and show out to express their opposition to data centers in DeKalb.  Ahead of the May 12th meeting, sign and share this petition, call and email the commissioners, and make it clear that you will not accept extractive economic "development" at the continued cost of our community's health and well-being

West Virginia needs to protect the beautiful surroundings that encompass our great state and prevent further damage from climate change that threatens to destroy our natural resources. Encourage Governor Jim Justice to stand up and speak out for all of West Virginia to follow the directions put forth by the Paris Climate Agreement recently eviscerated by Donald Trump.

Our community has been directly impacted by these raids by having ICE agents engaged in civil right violations—from showing up at doors unannounced, entering homes without warrants, waking up sleeping children, arresting students at bus stops on their way to school, and taking away families to detention centers, where loved ones will spend months until they are deported back to some of the most dangerous countries in the world.

Ohio legislators must take responsibility for the financial issues plaguing our state’s unemployment insurance system. Working people can’t live without this program, and the last thing we’ll accept is a cut in benefits.
