  • Stand with Senator Murphy in Support of Diplomacy with Iran!
Congress must let diplomacy work with Iran. On November 13, Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) spoke on the Senate floor, arguing that "we are at a critical moment in negotiations with Iran," and S. 2650, a dangerous piece of anti-diplomacy legislation, could kill nuclear negotiations with Iran and leave war as the only option. I support Senator Murphy and urge you to also speak out in favor of negotiations.

Stop Prosecuting Alfredo! Our government needs to stop punishing its own citizens by going after hard-working immigrants, like Alfredo, whose only real crime was trying to reunite with his family.

  • GET RID OF THE NATIONAL DEBT, PRINT OUR OWN MONEY!
GET RID OF THE NATIONAL DEBT, PRINT OUR OWN MONEY NOW! Our National Debt is a scam! The privately held 'Federal Reserve' coerced the right to print our nation's money and lend it to us, putting us further and further into debt every single day, charging us interest on money they print OUT OF THIN AIR! The President has executive power and Congress is empowered by Article 1, Section 8, of the United States Constitution to produce debt-free United States Notes at any time, for any reason. Tell the Federal Reserve we will no longer take their phony money and we will not pay their phony debt. Tell nations and individuals who have invested in our bonds that we will pay them back, and start printing our own Debt Free Money now!

  • Covid-19 Response Student Loan Forgiveness
Healthcare providers responding to the COVID-19 pandemic are working without adequate personal protective equipment, adequate staff (as more become ill and are quarantined), and adequate materials to test patients for the virus, thereby putting themselves at unacceptable risk due to the lack of appropriate action by the Federal Government of the United States. All healthcare personnel who have worked in environments providing care to COVID-19 positive patients should have any outstanding student loans relating to the education required for their licensure or certification forgiven immediately.

  • SWCB: Protect Virginia's Water
An Open Letter to the Virginia State Water Control Board June 15, 2018 Dear Robert Dunn, Lou Ann Jessee-Wallace, Timothy G. Hayes, Roberta A. Kellam, G. Nissa Dean, Heather Wood, and Robert H. Wayland III, As volunteers in service to the Virginia State Water Control Board (SWCB), you took an oath to support the Virginia Constitution, which asserts that “government is, or ought to be, instituted for the common benefit, protection, and security of the people, nation, or community,” and that the best government is that which produces “the greatest degree of happiness and safety, and is most effectually secured against the danger of maladministration.” Board members usually rely on staff to provide them with accurate information for decision making, and they were led to believe that the MVP and ACP pipeline projects are being held to the tightest environmental controls in Virginia history. But as reported by the Dominion Pipeline Monitoring Coaliltion, FOIA requests to the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) reveal little to no documentation that supports statements by the staff to the SWCB. The SWCB has the power and responsibility to protect our water. You need not rely on DEQ staff for information. SWCB can access additional information, including public comments, websites such as newrivergeographics.com and the Facebook page “Virginia Pipeline Violations,” expert opinions such as Jacob Hileman’s “Why Northam should delay pipeline construction,” which clearly explains how MVP’s construction threatens the water supply for hundreds of thousands of Virginians, and new reports, including the May 29 report Virginia Drinking Water Threatened by Atlantic Coast and Mountain Valley Pipelines by the environmental consulting firm Downstream Strategies and the May 28 revelation that Dominion is suing MVP’s contractor, Precision Pipeline Builders (PPB), for incompetent work completed on a 55-mile pipeline resulting in 50 landslides through far less challenging terrain than Appalachia’s. Virginians are depending upon you to act before your next meeting, which is not scheduled until August 21. It is clear that you were aware of potential irremediable harm by the current 401 certification when you asked for a renewed public comment period on April 12. The fact that you have received tens of thousands of comments in response indicates the urgent nature of the situation on the ground here in Southwest Virginia where pipeline construction is wreaking havoc on our waterways. Citizens have reported dozens upon dozens of issues, with Mountain Valley Watch having reported ~25 violations that should have prompted DEQ response. SWCB is authorized to revoke certification if the Board determines that the permitted activity endangers human health or the environment and cannot be regulated to acceptable levels by VWP permit modification, as indicated under Virginia's Administrative Code: https://law.lis.virginia.gov/…/agenc…/chapter210/section180/ . The first step in revoking certification is a request for "Board consideration," according to Virginia Code: https://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/62.1-44.15:02/ . We respectfully request that the Citizen Board meet before the end of June (as permitted by § 62.1-44.11: "other meetings may be held at any time or place determined by the Board or upon call of the chairman or upon written request of any two members") for Board consideration of revoking certification for MVP and ACP because they endanger human health and the environment. We thank you for your service to the Commonwealth of Virginia. Sincerely,

  • Say NO to Proposed Traffic Changes on Beechwood BLVD, Wilkins Ave, and S Linden Ave
At a public meeting that will be held on December 8, 2025, at Linden School at 5:30 P.M., Pittsburgh’s Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI) will present its initial plan to change traffic patterns, make a portion of S Linden Ave one-way, restrict turns, remove parking spaces, and add pedestrian crosswalks, and bicycle infrastructure in the area of S Linden Ave, Wilkins Ave, and Beechwood Boulevard, in Squirrel Hill / Point Breeze. The plan has been designed as a “Quick-Build” and is set to be implemented in 2026. Read the City’s proposal here. Challenges with the current plans include: 1.    Fails to solve some of the most dangerous existing conditions. 2.    Further complicates already complicated intersections, increasing the likelihood for additional danger to all users. 3.    Prioritizes commuter traffic at the expense of local residents’ ability to navigate the neighborhood safely and conveniently. 4.    Removes street parking from the front of several homes and many businesses, negatively impacting safety and convenience for those residents, their guests, deliveries, and visitors to the businesses. 5.    Fails to provide safer pedestrian crossings to the existing PRT bus stops on Wilkins. 6.    Increases travel times for popular local routes. 7.    Re-routes traffic (school busses, residents’ vehicles, delivery vehicles, business patrons, etc.)  to smaller side streets (Hastings Street, Reynolds Street, Gettysburg Street, Fennimore Street, Edgerton Ave, Glen Arden Drive, Kingston Way, Elysian Street, S Dallas Ave, Conover Road, Sinnet Way, Selwyn Street, Lacy Way), that were not designed to handle this level of traffic. 8.    Does not take into consideration and does not include plans to reduce speeding toward and through the light at S Linden and the five-way intersection.

  • We Demand Justice For Jonathan
We are DEMANDING JUSTICE FOR JONATHAN DENVER and this petition is to not release the man that is on trial for the death of Jonathan Denver. please feel free to read the full story below. AGAIN THIS PETITION IS TO NOT RELEASE THE MAN THAT IS ON TRIAL FOR THE DEATH OF JONATHAN DENVER. {FULL STORY BELOW} The man who was fatally stabbed during a confrontation after a Dodgers-Giants game in San Francisco was the son of a Dodgers security guard, the team said Thursday. Jonathan Denver's father, Robert Preece, worked security on game days at Dodger Stadium, the Dodgers said. San Francisco police say Denver, 24, was with his father, brother and two other people a few blocks from the San Francisco Giants' ballpark late Wednesday when their group exchanged words with some Giants fans who were leaving a nightclub. The exchange turned physical and Denver, who was wearing Dodgers gear, was stabbed to death. "There is no rational explanation for this senseless act," the Dodgers said in a written statement. "The pain that this has caused his family and friends is unimaginable." Denver attended the game with his relatives but left in the eighth inning of what turned out to be a 6-4 Giants victory. His attackers did not attend the game, police said. San Francisco police said Michael Montgomery, 21, of Lodi, was arrested on suspicion of homicide. Another person, whose name was not released, was also taken into custody. "One of the suspects during the course of the interviews (with detectives) made incriminating statements that give us the indication that he will be the person booked for homicide," Police Chief Greg Suhr told reporters. "We're trying to figure out what we're going to do with the other suspect," Suhr continued. "The investigation is still ongoing."

  • A.M.A.R.I 💚🧸🪽
Good Afternoon! My name is Marisa Gonzales, I am from a small town in Otero County. Saturday we were met with an unfortunate situation. A 3 year old child by the name of Amari Galan, with special needs Autism managed to escape from his home in the early hours of the morning, and it went into a 2 day search which ended in tragedy. He fell into the canal, and was found around 5pm yesterday. Of course his family is in shambles. I write to you today in hopes of trying to conduct an alert system in his name so this tragedy isn’t in vain. We have noticed that there are amber alerts, and code Adam’s, but none for special needs children.  Members of our community have came up with an acronym in honor of his name AMARI Autistic Medical Alert Response Initiative For all like Amari, children and adults alike. 49% of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) have attempted to elope at least once after age 4. Of those who went missing, 24% were in danger of drowning, and 65% were in danger of traffic injury. Elopement risk is associated with autism severity, increasing, on average, 9% for every 10-point increase in Social Responsiveness Scale T score. As a member of this community, and 1 of millions of proud autism parents, I really hope to get this story heard, and we as a community wish to get this going if possible!  I encourage you to sign this petition, and get this passed!  Please keep his loved ones in your continued thoughts & prayers 🙏🏽💚🧸🪽 Sincerely, Marisa Gonzales
