The minimum wage in New Jersey has failed to keep up with the rising cost of living in the state. It’s time to raise the wage to at least $8.50 and tie it to inflation.

We, the people of the United States of America, demand the Federal Reserve quit printing money and devaluing the dollar. This causing prices on everything to rise, making it a hardship on everyone.

Declare April 15th, the day taxes are due, a national holiday: Interdependence Day. We celebrate the many ways we all rely on one another and contribute to making this a great country.

Pass the New York Dream Act. Give undocumented students the chance to go to college, graduate, and reach their full potential to contribute to our state.

We're asking Jeff Miller to co-sponsor the new voting rights bill. Make it illegal to reduce access to voting. Set upper limits on the number of people registered to the number of voting machines in a precinct voting place. Set an upper limit of 2 miles on the travel distance to a voting location. Set the number of early voting days to not less than 14, including at least two weekends prior to the scheduled date.

Please support the Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2014 which would strengthen the Voting Rights Act.

The Supreme Court has nullified the previous voting rights act, and it is the duty of Congress to write a new one.

The decision to initiate a turnaround process at New Bedford High School, in which all teachers must reapply for jobs and only 50 percent can be rehired, must be overturned. It denies the commitment and good work of New Bedford teachers and is disruptive to already fragile students’ lives.

We just marked the one year anniversary of the massacre of twenty little children and six educators in Sandy Hook. While many hedge funds, private equity firms, city and state pension funds subsequently divested themselves of investments in the gun industry, too many are still supporting this vehicle for murder that stymies any reasonable regulation that could prevent such tragedy and unspeakable loss. Governor Cuomo, we need to guarantee our children that there will not be a Sandy Hook tragedy in New York state. We call on you to ensure that New York state divests itself of any investments it may have in the gun industry. We can clear the way for common sense gun violence prevention laws.
