On May 8th, 2012, the New York Court of Appeals ruled that, "The purposeful viewing of child pornography on the internet is now legal in New York… Merely viewing Web images of child pornography does not, absent other proof, constitute either possession or procurement within the meaning of our Penal Law." This is a direct statement written by Senior Judge Carmen Beauchamp Ciparick in a majority decision for the court. The court decided that there is a distinct difference between those who purposefully view an image versus those who actively download and store such images on their computers. The established legality of purposeful viewing of these materials directly violates the Constitutional rights of the children and minors who are exploited in them. Specifically, direct violation of the Constitutional right of the children and minors to personal security, guaranteed as a right of personhood, not to be injured or abused is now being knowingly permitted under protection of established law. Indisputably, the purposeful viewing of these materials promotes the mental, emotional and physical injury and abuse of these children and minors. We, the undersigned, believe that all evidence of purposeful viewing of such material on one’s computer or other electronic media device during the period of ownership does absolutely constitute possession and should be punishable in the same regard that creation, promotion, facilitation and distribution of such materials are. We believe that permitting those who purposefully view pornographic materials involving children and minors to go unpunished, to face no criminal consequence whatsoever, is to knowingly and intentionally condone, permit and otherwise excuse the violation of their Constitutionally guaranteed rights, ergo, formally legalizing their repeated victimization under the protection of established law. As Americans, as parents, as human beings, we are both revolted and outraged at the monumental failure of the legal system to provide protection to American citizens guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States in this regard. We, the undersigned, hereby demand that both state and federal legislature be passed immediately to clearly indicate in no uncertain terms that the creation, possession, promotion, facilitation, distribution AND purposeful viewing of such inappropriate material is universally illegal and criminally punishable in the United States of America.

  • Bring our Soldiers home!
Please bring our Soldiers home from Afghanistan because they aren't even safe from the soldiers they are training or the people they are protecting. When the Koran was mistakenly burned, two American Soldiers were killed. One was killed by a protestor and one by an Afghan Soldier being trained by our forces. Instead of apologizing over and over again, the White House and congress need to wake up and find the people responsible for these deaths. They haven't talked about it or told us what they are doing about it!

  • Retro Pay from Private Contractors to Vets.
During the war in Afghanistan after 911, We The People were not "allowed the option" to re-instate the draft. Had this been done, any American could and would have helped out with the mission from "fighting" to "helping" feed the oppressed populations. With out the consent of a Ballot, Private Contractors and CEO's were sent into Afghanistan, and Iraq. Most Americans thought "these" people were rebuilding the infrastructure of the country. Now, in 2012 we know that these "Private for profit Companies" were paid with "our" tax dollars to fight in place of The American Military!?!? This is an abuse of power by the "leaders" of our country. It is in America's best interest to not give "any" Tax Dollars to Private Industry without accountability. Therefore, we want restitution of all the "tax dollars" to be given to Civilian "Veterans" Centers. We will take care of our children and help them return to society. We have over 350,000 wounded soldiers returning, and more continue to return. We want the Veterans Hospitals reopened that "all" were closed under the years of 2001 to 2005. These hospitals are needed by our injured boys and girls. We demand an investigation into this matter. The companies that made "Trillions" in Tax Dollars did not adhere to the Geneva convention, nor the rules of war for civil strife. They must be made to return "all" the money, the information, and "who" approved taking money in secret from our Federal and State Treasuries... Regardless that the war was not on the National Budget from 2001 to 2008, there are new ways to "track" how money was stolen from Social Security, Federal Taxes, and State Taxes. Without a mandate for "We The People" to vote on, this was and still is an illegal use of our taxpayers money. Please help our boys and girls who have been damaged in this illegal invasion of Iraq that was a contained country by our military from 1990 to 2001. Let Iraqi people reveal the injustices practiced by these "private" companies and CEO's. Let Afghanistan civilians reveal how many "innocent" Mothers with Babies were labeled collateral damage... Finally, we want the right to vote on how money is spent in future wars. No longer do we trust the Congress or Senate or even a President to represent us on these matters. With today's technology, we can vote at our computer with individual USB Secured I.D. Voting. The poor will be able to vote at any internet connection with their Federal I.D. Chip.

  • Tell Congress to Pass Presidential and Vice Presidential Conflict of interest Laws NOW
[Though the Office of Government Ethics has rules meant to prevent conflicts of interest within the executive branch, the president and vice president are exempt. Trump has apparently taken this fact to heart: Speaking to The New York Times, he asserted, “The law’s totally on my side, the president can’t have a conflict of interest.”] The Atlantic Congress needs to change the law before a new president takes office. This would go a long way towards "draining the swamp" of corrupt politicians now and in the future. Please sign this petition AND call your congressional delegation now.
