Fox News, and Sean Hannity in particular, often promote unsubstantiated news stories. One of the most recent fake stories is about the unsolved, tragic murder of Seth Rich, a Democratic Party staff member a year ago. Fox News and Hannity went to great lengths to insist that the source of the leaked DNC Emails came from inside the party, and insinuated this was the motive for Mr. Rich's murder - and worse. In May, Fox forced Hannity to quit reporting on the story. However, NPR reported yesterday that Fox News is now being sued by Rod Wheeler, one of the Fox 'experts' who appeared on Hannity's show. He is claiming defamation of character, and says in the suit that the Fox News Channel and Ed Butowsky, a wealthy supporter of President Trump, worked with the White House to advance the story in order to deflect attention from the Russia probe. This isn't journalism. It's fake news meant to protect Trump from very serious allegations. The only action the public can take to stop this is to boycott the principal sponsors of Fox News Corporation and Sean Hannity for promoting this garbage. Hannity gets most of his advertising dollars from the auto industry, insurance companies, and weight loss brands. Please sign the petition to these companies to drop their ads from Hannity's show: Alfa Romeo, Allstate, Hyundai, Jenny Craig, John Deere, Liberty Mutual, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, and Nutrisystem. NBC/MSNBC has invited divisive voices to join their news shows while replacing credible news personnel. Under Andy Lack's "leadership", he has systematically gotten rid of strong reporters such as Tamara Hall, Jose Diaz-Balart, Melissa Harris Perry, Ed Schultz, along with minimizing other progressive political analyst voices. Instead, Andy Lack has given shows to hardliners of the far right and Trump supporters highlighted by the hiring of Hugh Hewitt. He also hired the far right darling, Megan Kelly. Fair minded and progressive voices WILL NOT SUPPORT and WILL STOP WATCHING a news agency that doesn't respect the views and commitment of those seeking true, fair and balanced news. We are not interested in supporting Lack's vision of what he considers, "interesting points of views". We all are aware of his badly kept secret of making MSNBC into FOX Light. This is unacceptable. Bring back progressive voices to MSNBC and stop the influx of the far right entourage in your programming.
