Among our US Veterans, the suicide numbers are staggering. Before we become eager to commit more combat troops in the hotbed that is the Middle East, what, specifically, are you going to do to address this epidemic and how much money will you 'line-item' for this issue in your Budget?

We as seniors and seniors about to receive SOCIAL SECURITY and future retirees must stop the movement to PRIVATIZE SOCIAL SECURITY. Privatization means increased retirement risks, severe cuts in Social Security benefits, and more.

Immigrant agricultural workers and their families are valuable members of our rural communities and the nation's economy. They belong here. We demand that the Trump Administration stop the raids on meatpacking plants, farms and other agricultural facilities.

Dear Governor Scott, We are writing to you and urging you to exonerate Marissa Alexander under the Stand Your Ground Law. Marissa is a mother of three who was protecting herself and her children from her abusive husband who threaten her life. She did not kill her husband or hurt anyone, when she fired a warning shot in her kitchen ceiling to keep her abusive husband with a violent history to keep from beating her. It is not fair that some are granted protection under the Stand Your Ground Law and others are not. Please let justice prevail and exonerate Marisa Alexander. Sincerely,

Support the Justice in Policing Act 2020 ​Recent incidents like the murders of George Floyd in Minnesota and Breonna Taylor in Kentucky have sparked mass protests across this nation around the issue of police reform and accountability. For too long African Americans have been disproportionately affected by police brutality and the systematic injustices of law enforcement. U.S. House and Senate Democrats have unveiled legislation that would bring about widespread reforms to police departments across the country. The reforms include prohibiting the use of chokeholds, lower legal standards to pursue criminal and civil penalties for police misconduct and the ban of no-knock warrants in drug-related cases. The legislation would also create a national registry to track police misconduct.

We respectfully request that you initiate an immediate investigation of the violation of our election laws by people of either party in assisting the Russian invasion of our electoral process, with all hearings to be public.

 Americans use 100 billion plastic bags a year but only recycle about 3% of them.  We use millions of gallons of petroleum to make them when we could use this finite resource for more important things.  They are a hazard to wildlife on land and at sea, and as they break down they are a hazard to our health. Therefore, I support the reduction of single-use carryout plastic bags in the city of Keene, NH, through a ban imposed by the City.
