I, as a physician, who has tried to treat all with equanimity, and try to be rational in debate, have been appalled by this man every time he is on CNN, which now retired, I listen to daily. Never lets anyone finish a point. Van Jones just said "you are so rude and interruptive, you make my point"...that you are a boorish, overbearing, biased. I feel he is a disgrace to the standards of CNN, from Bernie, John, and Bobbie during Gulf war to now. He must be fired. This is not free speech it is bigotry. There is no free speech on cable news, BTW.

Allow outside agencies to assist the police departments of Saint Charles County and Saint Louis County to do Familial DNA testing, such as Ce Ce Moore and others who are willing to assist. It has been 25 years and 9-year-old Angie Housman's murder remains unsolved. With new DNA technology, the same DNA testing that got the Golden State Killer, Angie's killers or killers could be caught. It only takes one hit off of a family member from this DNA testing to narrow it down to the person who did this. Isn't 25 years long enough?

The Mukilteo School district doesn't currently accept high school exchange students. I'm hoping this will inspire a policy change. As of now they are the only school district in Snohomish county that I've encountered with this policy. As the global community we live in becomes increasingly interdependent and subject to change, today’s young people will face numerous challenges on the journey to becoming tomorrow’s leaders. I believe the student exchange experience helps young people of all nationalities embrace those challenges and discover new opportunities that will help them dream and achieve more than they ever thought possible.

The real estate development mega-corporation Panoramic Interests seeks to demolish the historic mural commemorating the Independent Living Movement at the former Center for Independent Living at 2539 Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley, CA. This mural expressed the new freedom within the grasp of disabled people and featured Berkeley citizens prominent in the Independent Living Movement in the early 1980s, including Mary Ann Heiserman, Dale Dahl, Michael Williams, and FRANCO. Given the historic significance of the site, we are petitioning Panoramic Interests to fund a monument to celebrate the notable achievement of the Berkeley disabled community in advancing the global Independent Living Movement.

This is a petition to try to legalize cannabis as a whole, and reap the benefits of cannabis, as hemp, medical marijuana, and recreational use. Hemp used as industrial plant material is incredibly benefical to making anything from topical creams, and the concrete in the making of new facilities anywhere. Medical marijuana can be used as a simple medicine to heal people around the world in different genetic forms of the plant. And recreational use has no major harmful effects, hardly any at all. There is no recorded death from recreational use compared to even peanuts which still kill from allergies, cigarettes, and alcohol, even pharmaceutical drugs.

Finally, to publicly disclose financial supporters of the aforementioned NRA & their activities to the citizens of the United States of America in order to create new laws that regulate the sales of weapons here in the United States of America to ensure domestic tranquility for ALL citizens of our great nation. The members of the Oregon Legislature should adopt SJR 19, which refers to the voters of Oregon an amendment to the Oregon Constitution to ensure that we can have, and enforce, limits on political campaign contributions in races for state or local office. The Governor should also support this. Oregon is one of only 4 states without such limits, and Oregon politicians spend more (per capita) getting elected to the Legislature than in any state other than New Jersey. It now costs typically over $500,000 to win a contested seat in the Oregon Legislature, with the money coming almost entirely from corporations and unions.

Require a biometric (fingerprint) operated safety ( input at time of purchase and stored only in the gun), allowing no one other than the legal owner to operate the weapon, on all new weapons sold in USA. This would eliminate a majority of shootings in America per FBI stats. According to FBI statistics, most shootings in America, whether accidental, suicide, or criminal, occur with legally owned weapons used by someone other than the legal owner. This includes both handguns and assault weapons. Also, most illegal weapons are first purchased legally and then resold illegally, called straw purchases.
