Sign this petition so we can forward your name to Maui County's Board of Ethics in support of the complaint: READ THE FULL COMPLAINT SUMMARY: County attorneys have been ordered by Judge Peter Cahill to release government records which now reveal the County Auditor unethically suspended a County Audit which was requested by the members of the Maui County Council in a unanimous vote.  The Audit centers on thousands of unaccounted for agreements executed by County attorneys with private developers that allowed their roadway infrastructure financial obligations to be "deferred" until the County performed a roadway project along their subdivision frontages.  The records reveal that no system or collection was ever adopted. Consequently, the local taxpayers end up paying for the developers tab.  The amount of "deferred" developer debts is staggering, in the tens of millions of dollars at the very least.  The audit would reveal this fact.  As a direct result, the “independent” County Auditor is now seeking legal representation from the very same law firm that is currently defending Corporation Counsel's malfeasance in Circuit Court. The County Auditor's complicit conduct is covering up the evidence of County attorney's malfeasance and establishes a complete disregard for government auditing standards.  The Board of Ethics is being called upon to affirm that the responsibilities of the audited Corporation Counsel and the Office of the County Auditor are opposed to one another, and therefore KSG’s legal representation is a clear conflict of interest, and finally that the Auditor is clearly negligent for not requesting this Board of Ethics to provide a conflict-of-interest opinion. The County Auditor must seek independent legal counsel. The County Auditor must recuse themselves from the Audit. By suspending the Audit, the County Auditor provided unwarranted advantages, and treatment, and covered up evidence of malfeasance by the conflicted Department of The Corporation Counsel in violation of their professional duties and the public’s interest. I am writing to demand a full, formal, public, and transparent investigation into how students' photographs and personal data may have been accessed, used, or otherwise exploited by Leon Black, Jeffrey Epstein, and their associates. This investigation must begin immediately, and all institutional contacts with entities connected to these individuals must cease. A) A full, formal, public, and transparent investigation into how students' photos and other personal data was handled by Lifetouch and their affiliates.  B) A full, formal, public, and transparent investigation into how students' photos and other personal data may have been used, accessed, or otherwise utilized by Leon Black, Jeffrey Epstein, and/or their associates, specifically if or how these materials may have been accessed by AI technology and for what purposes.  C) A full, formal, public, and transparent report of all findings, discovery, evidence, interviews, etc. unredacted, uncensored, and made easily accessible to the public.  D) Encourage public school districts, state, and federal leadership to suspend contracts with Lifetouch pending investigation, and Lifetouch or its associates shall have no further access to public schools pending investigation. I am requesting that you initiate legislation requiring a comprehensive investigation into these connections, mandate immediate severance of any remaining institutional ties to Black-affiliated entities, and establish protections to prevent similar exploitation of student data in the future. Our children's safety cannot wait.

I urge everyone to boycott the New Britain Herald and the Bristol Press and to cancel your subscriptions just like I have until both Mr. Schroder and Mr. Adelson resign from ownership! Last week I had asked Mr. Schroder to come clean and to make all financial and ownership records of the two newspaper's public. I was met with deafening silence. The people of New Britain and Bristol were lied to and we deserve to know the truth! What has become clear now is that both newspapers owned by Michael Schroeder and Sheldon Adelson have been engaged in lies, deceptions, and unethical practices designed solely to go after their political enemies. Mr. Schroeder has been caught plagiarizing from other sources, and there were articles that appeared in both papers that were written by fake people who do not even exist in real life. There were even articles published solely to target judges and politicians - some as far away as Las Vegas! We want our newspaper back! The people of New Britain and Bristol deserves a bipartisan daily paper that serves the interests of the people of New Britain and Bristol and not one that serves the interests of Mr. Schroder and Mr. Adelson. We want a paper that informs the community on what is happening here and not what some business court judge in Nevada is doing that is upsetting Mr. Adelson. As a daily subscriber, I did not pay hundreds of dollars a year to be lied to. I subscribed to the New Britain Herald because I wanted to read about the actual news and events of New Britain and not some phony political propaganda shrouded in secrecy funded by dark money secretly owned by special interest groups located some 2,000 miles away from my community. As an advocate committed to ending domestic and sexual violence against women, I urge you to pass a strong bipartisan and inclusive VAWA reauthorization bill that provides protections for vulnerable communities.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Rep. John Barrow (D-GA) introduced a bill (HR 3689) to repeal all gun laws in the District of Columbia. These are laws that were passed by the Council of the District of Columbia, singed into law by our Mayor, and are widely supported by DC residents. Due to DC's unequal status as a colony of the federal government, our locally passed laws can be repealed at any time by the U.S. Congress (a Congress of which we have not a single voting member in the House or Senate).

Do not call the vote for use of American military force in Syria. The authorization of military force as an intervention in Syria will not bring justice, self determination, safety, security or freedom to the people of Syria. I have have no confidence in this Congress’s ability to make sound decisions about foreign policy when it has consistently failed to make sound domestic policy. Congress committing the American people to pay for a unnecessary military intervention while refusing to pay for vital social and community services within the United States and the Black community in particular due to sequestration budget cuts is wrong, unjust and immoral. I reject this ‘Stand Your Ground’ approach to foreign policy to shoot first and ask questions later. Do not call the vote on the resolution to authorize military force in Syria.
