Sen. Feinstein: Agree to An Expedited Vote on a New Nominee

Senator Feinstein: Please ask your Democratic colleagues on the Judiciary Committee to agree to vote within two weeks of President Trump nominating a new, highly qualified nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court. Ask them to also seriously consider voting "yes" on any nominee from his existing short list who has not committed sexual assault or lied under oath.

Why is this important?

The White House and Republicans are pushing through Judge Kavanaugh in significant part because they believe that it will get more difficult after the election. It is most important at this point that we support women like Dr. Ford rather than trying to oppose any Supreme Court nominee for the rest of Trump's term, which is unlikely to succeed.
