The last shutdown of the federal government put tens of thousands of federal worker out of work. We are repulsed by Sen. Ted Cruz' recent threats as he opposes immigration reform. We are in favor of immigration reform that will be a fair deal for immigrants and stop immigrant exploitation.
Why is this important?
I am opposed to any shutdown of the federal government. The federal government is essential to the functioning of our country. It provides necessary social programs, health care and retirement and disability compensation. When the government shut down before, it affected me personally because essential government services were not available to me and members of my family.
