Senator McSally: Put People First
As the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic upends life in communities across Arizona and the U.S., Senator McSally is using the crisis as an opportunity to steer taxpayer money towards corporations and the wealthy. Senator McSally: your constituents all throughout Arizona are suffering as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Put their needs first, not those of corporations and the wealthy.
Why is this important?
Millions of Arizonans are feeling the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic, which have been exacerbated by the Trump administration's ineptitude and mismanagement. Hundreds are getting sick, and many more are out of work, struggling with childcare, caring for loved ones, or facing a number of other hardships.
In this time of crisis, our leaders should be putting the needs of our families and communities first. Senators like Martha McSally should be championing legislation that puts people before profits, and works to provide immediate and comprehensive public health and economic relief for all of us. Instead, on Sunday, March 22, Sen. McSally voted for a bill in the Senate that would have created a no-strings-attached $500 billion slush fund for corporate giveaways.
As the coronavirus pandemic continues to worsen, and Congress debates and votes on new legislation to tackle the crisis, Sen. McSally needs to put people first, not the bottom line of corporations. She must vote for legislation that will provide relief to working people and families.
