Stop the proposed change to the way cost of living increases are calculated for retirees on Social Security. This change does very little in the way of entitlement reform, but will have a major impact on seniors.
Why is this important?
Congress will vote on a proposed change to how social security benefits are calculated. Using chained CPI instead of CPI-W will reduce benefits to current and future retirees. Even Paul Ryan has said this will have a very small impact on deficit reduction; however, the impact will be far greater on individual retirees who are dependent on social security. One Republican congressman called it, "a shocking attack on seniors." Contact your senators and don't let this travesty happen.
