All New Jersey residential property tax be reduced or eliminated and be offset by a revenue-neutral increase in personal earned income tax.
Why is this important?
A large portion of our family's Social Security benefit must be paid as local property tax. Although our children are grown, we benefit from the schools and roads as do the well to do in our community, but must contribute a disproportionate portion of our resources.
