Smuckers Non-Appreciation Day
Whereby we show Smuckers that interfering in a citizen election was a bad idea. Here's the problem. Smuckers was part of a group of corporate contributors opposed to GMO labeling, which was on the 2013 fall ballot in Washington state. The issue had a comfortable lead until the last month when Smuckers, et al, dumped $22 million into negative ads. The issue was defeated.
Why is this important?
I'm mad as hell over the hundreds of millions of dollars corporations are spending to skew our elections. Help us set an example of public outrage over corporate influence in citizen elections. Tell Smuckers to stop interfering in our elections. Plus please start boycotting Smuckers as well.
