If the Republician Party is really concerned about Social Security going broke, then it's time to do something about the cap of $110,100 for paying into Social Security. There are many people out there who are not aware of the fact that once you've earned $110,100, you no longer pay into Social Security.
If the middle class have to pay into Social Security on every dime that they make, so should the wealthy. Set some kind of a "Cap" for receiving Social Security. i.e. Making a million dollars a year after retirement, you don't need Social Security to live on.
Why is this important?
First I'd like to make sure that people are aware of the fact that Social Security does not add to the Nation Debit. It is a 'stand alone' program. It takes money into the system via payroll deduction and then pays out from that fund.
The Republician Party for years have been trying to get rid of Social Security. Lately they've been trying to tie it to the Nation Debit.
