Soft opening of salons/barber shops in KY
Allow a licensed beauty professional to perform a beauty service/ privately with one client in the salon / per stylist at a time Starting as of Friday May 1, 2020. All necessary precautions and sanitation protocols approved by the state of KY and the local Board of Health will be followed. Our industry needs to be recognized & deemed as an essential business so we can better serve our community.
Servicing one client at a time per stylist while maintaining distance between other clients. Also upon entering the salon we will check temperatures and we will wear a mask & gloves. We will use one cape per client and sanitize our chairs after each use and before anyone else is seated. We will shut down our waiting areas and notify clients via text message when we are ready for them to come in. Only paying clients will be allowed. This poses little to no risk of spreading the virus, as compared to 20 or more people in stores.

Why is this important?
The survival of the independent beauty professionals is at risk. We are facing a grave financial hardship.
