Spectrum-Adjustment for Internet Outages
I'm starting a petition regarding the constant outages for those using Spectrum internet. We pay for a full month of service, we should be able to use a full month of service. I understand that bad weather is beyond the company's control but the service goes out when the sun is shining, no wind blowing and no obvious reason for an outage. It usually happens in the late afternoon and lasts all night and into the next day. We should be compensated for the lack of service during these times. There should be an adjustment to our bills, especially considering this is not a one in a while occurrence but happens on a regular basis. There are those of us who work from home and pay for this service to make a living. Even if we just want to enjoy a good movie, stream different app or do some gaming, it doesn't matter as we pay for the service. The FCC oversees all internet companies and Spectrum is not our only option.
Why is this important?
I'm not the only one affected by this issue. Everyday when I check my Facebook page, it seems the entire town is up in arms because we are going though another outage. Our voices need to be heard. As long as we do nothing, neither will they.
Some, like me, only have internet. But others work from home with their internet service, others have Spectrum as their only entertainment provider as well as their cell phone provider. I can at least watch DirecTv but all of us should be compensated for the times we are without service.
