SR146 and Fox Run Rd is a Dangerous Intersection

The intersection of Fox Run Rd and SR 146 in Buckner KY is the only entrance to the Darby Pointe subdivision with approximately 150 homes, in addition to, a large production business located on Fox Run Rd, a strip mall with a restaurant and locally owned businesses, a local soccer practice field, is access to one of three entrances into the only convenience store in Buckner and is in very close proximity to on and off ramps to I-71. Because of the already high traffic flow and the imminent increased traffic from manufacturing and distribution expansion on SR146, turning left from our neighborhood has become extremely dangerous for the experienced and novice drivers of our neighborhood as well as school bus drivers, patrons and employees of local businesses .

We, the residents of Darby Pointe, petition the Kentucky Transportation Department to consider safer options for our neighborhood, business and school bus drivers in the form of strategically placed traffic lights on 146 and/or secondary road access to and from our neighborhood.

Why is this important?
