St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger: Give the County Council their own attorney

Amend the St. Louis County charter to give the County Council their own attorney so council-members can better serve the districts they represent.

Why is this important?

The County Counselor who is the attorney for St. Louis County, works at the pleasure of the County Executive. The County Council should have their own in-house council so council-members can better serve the districts they represent. They develop and review hundreds of documents every year that are legally binding to every resident of St. Louis County and they should have legal representation that is beholden to the Council and not the County Executive.
