Start holding business accountable for firing employees with health issues.
We need to start holding every business in the United States accountable for threatening employees, of termination for medical issues especially viral infections. No business shouldn't fire anyone that has an actual excuse from a doctor. Regardless of being in the 90 days probation period. Theses business lack responsibility, accountability, lacks morals of their employees health. It's reckless and dangerous. This needs to change asap. I'm tired of the power trip. I'm tired of being taken advantage of along with millions of other workers. There should be legal repercussions of threatening to fire employees who have a legitimate illness.
Why is this important?
If you feel like your job is not taking your health seriously, are they saying that you will be fired if you went to the er, this is a place to actually sign up for. I've been threatened for losing my job for testing positive for Covid, bronchitis and the flu. I've been on bed rest for several days been sick since December 23rd. I've been threatened that I'll lose my job since I've been in the ER since the 23rd. They shouldn't have this type of power. They think we are just numbers and not human.
