Stop a corporation from stealing Yosemite's identity

As a fan of our national parks, I am offended by Delaware North's demand for $51 million in order to return Yosemite trademarks including Ahwahnee Hotel, Curry Village, and Yosemite National Park. Your attempt to privatize public treasures is in bad faith and speaks very poorly of your corporation's reputation.

Why is this important?

Delaware North used to run concessions at Yosemite National Park until losing out on the government contract last year. During the open bid process, the company claimed that if the National Park Service chose another company, Delaware North should be paid $51 million for these and other trademarks.

So now the park is being forced to update some of its most popular destinations. Curry Village will become Half Dome Village. Wawona Hotel will become the Big Trees Lodge. And get a load of this: the company even trademarked "Yosemite National Park."

Don't let corporate profiteers exploit our national parks -- tell Delaware North to drop its money-hungry play for Yosemite's iconic names!
