Right now women are being silenced in order to cover up an eight year long investigation that to date has not been resolved. Con Edison, one of the nation's largest utility companies, is abusing its power and using its money to cover up the hostile work environment they have created for many of us. We have been subjected to gender discrimination, sexual harassment and assault, and are being retaliated against because we are trying to halt this abuse.
This discriminatory abuse is being experienced across all levels of employment, in various departments from management to non-management positions.
Now we the women of Con Edison are requesting your assistance in finding a resolution to this long standing problem of the dehumanizing treatment of women at the hands of Consolidated Edison!
Why is this important?
Just like many women working in nontraditional fields of employment, I have experienced gender discrimination personally, on a daily basis. Although speaking out about this type of behavior may be frightening, your voice matters!
