Stop DC Ads from Killing Food Stamps Nationwide

Take down SNAP fraud ads in DC metro stations immediately. The timing couldn't be worse: These ads imply to congressional staffers and everyone else that SNAP has high fraud rates (the opposite is true) just as Congress is debating whether to cut or restrict SNAP nationwide. DC and the country need SNAP to stay strong so millions of families can afford food.

Why is this important?

Congressional staffers use the DC metro system to get to work, so they see the same ads as everyone else. Right now, as Congress is debating whether to cut SNAP, the DC government is running an ad campaign targeting food stamp fraud. The DC government's advertisements could have nationwide effects by swaying congressional staffers to think SNAP fraud is a bigger problem than it actually is.
