This is a petition asking for more laws regarding guns. New laws for stricter background checks every year, 21 being the new legal age to buy a gun, no more selling of assault rifles, stricter regulations at gun shows and a ban on the auctioning of guns, without incorporating background checks into this form of gun sale.
Why is this important?
This petition is about creating change in the way that people have access to guns by reforming the laws that regulate the sales of guns. As of February 28th 2018, there have already been 18 school shootings in the United States, with the most recent being in Parkland Florida where 17 were killed. School is meant to be a safe place for children, not a place of fear. It is where you send your child to learn , and not to get hurt. We must do something about these terrible tragedies. Parents send their kids to school now actually worried about the possible threat of a shooting. By signing this petition you are asking our legislators to take action on the the proposals above.
