Aid to Israel should depend on their abiding by international law and stopping construction of settlements on illegally confiscated land in the Occupied Territories. We strongly urge suspension of military aid to Israel as a sanction for its obstinate refusal to abide by UN resolutions, human rights standards, and international law in its apartheid policies toward the Palestinian people.
Why is this important?
The money sent to Israel could be used to finance much needed programs (job training, health care, infrastructure improvement, disaster relief) in the USA instead of going to a state that flouts international law.
